i was a competitive moto cross racer. i've rehabilitated many of the greatest motor cross racers in world, and they're my clients. The point i'm driving at though is, you know, if you wipe out on a motor cross pike, when you're not dead, the goal is to get back on as quick as you can. I think for me, part of it was just learning that being hurt nt mean you're out of the game, if you can still control your motor cycle. It's just super hard to breathe, but you can still do it.
