The Effects of Executive Functions on ADHD
The brain malformations and the functional connections that are not being made very well is happening in utero. The majority of ADHD really occurs prenatally rather than postnatally. So it's only when typical children begin to develop each executive function that the ADHD child gets another layer of deficits added onto the ones that they already have.
