The Importance of Being Closer to Key Metrics
I did very well at the chief operation officer role by being really key on only, you know, two or three metrics. I could almost sort of forecast where I'd expect the business to be in a quarter's time. And I think what's interesting is that I should have just taken that same learning and applied across the rest of the business. But equally not wanting to be a micro manager as well, which is quite hard. The way I heard it expressed actually the day was, you know,. fingers out, nose in, which I always thought was a nice way of putting it.
