The Duke of York and the Prince of Suffolk
Duke of Somerset was a great grandson of King Edward III. He and Duke of York were trying to fill the vacuum left by Henry VI's inability to act. Both assumed that they had the right to power in the absence of a genuine royal will from Henry VI. Parliament refused to make York Henry's heir, and the conflict moved on.
