There's tons of data showing pretty clear associations between discrimination and adverse health outcomes. This could relate to cardiovascular risks, psychological distress, depression, anxiety, and even mortality. The association between weight-related discrimination and poor outcomes seems to be higher than discrimination based on other variables. And so ultimately, this stigma has, you know, it's obviously not great.
