Is Insulin a Stress Hormone?
Insulin is antithetical to exercise because insulin wants to feed everything in the body, including fat cells. When we exercise, the muscle is so hungry that it basically says, I can't wait for insulin. So there's an insulin independent mechanism. The moment the muscle starts exercising, it opens those doors on its own. And so the glucose starts coming into it and insulin stays very, very low.
