Better Journey Planners and Better Live Information for Local Transport
There's a lot to be said for having more and better live updates of your local transport. Better journey planners will encourage some folks to stop taking the car, but not all. One behavioural science solution would be to make us walk to our cars by shifting residential parking out of sight into separate car parks away from the streets. This sounds kind of radical, but some towns are actually like this and have been like this for 20 years in Freiburg, Germany.
