The Relationship Between Hunger and Irritation
There is an obvious link between food and mental activity, maybe not mental health. When you get hungry you get stroppy, don't you? People are hungry, irritable. Hunger or high cortisol because when you become hungry you have a greater release of cortisol. So it is helping to fuel your brain but it is also creating a state of agitation. That cortisol also correlates to how likely you are to stick pins into a voodoo doll of your partner. There is certainly I think a group of children who are expressing behaviours linked to their hunger rather than what would be considered kind of naughtiness.
