A lot of studies when they compare exercise versus diet for weight loss, they find that either there's no difference or that diet's always better. In in non trained people, they actually gain muscle mass, even from arobic exercise. I say all of this to say, yes, when weight loss is minimul make sure that we're always looking past the weight loss and looking at the body composition.
