Seth Godin: I think meditation and mindfulness rub up against modern culture in such an astute way because it were not in the experience of instant gratification when it comes to the benefits and outcomes of our meditation practice. He says we can sit down, we can meditate for the first time in our lives and we can recognize that we are having some sort of helpful and supportive experience. But even if we do have that initial experience with these deeper outcomes like a feeling of maybe more wholeness, more authenticity, maybe a greater equanimity in the mind,. We kind of notice a shift in our mental health, even in a baseline and fundamental way. That all takes time.
