The book Utopia is a fascinating read. Moore was trying to emulate Plato with this theoretical discussion of an ideal society, at a time when very few Westerners were familiar with Greek philosophy. When you look around the world today, it seems… well? Positively utopian. There are plenty of things in this book that in no way resemble the world we or anybody inhabits. Still, it makes you think.
