Do You Know How to Compare Exercise Efficacy?
If you don't take into account the novice effect when you are trying to compare exercise modalities, then your data is shit. It's terribly difficult to do studies on exercise efficacy for this reason. Where are you going to get a hundred experienced lifters who have demonstrably gone through the novice progression? You can't do it. And as a result of that impossibility, we've got a situation where the published science is absolutely valueless and the experience of the practitioners is all you have to rely on. The fact of the matter is i know more about this than anybody with a phd. Who has never spent forty five years coaching people under the bar in a weiht room.
