The Three Strip Printing Process Is Interesting

Ozzie Morris and Kazu Mirgao really sort of pushed the idea of treating the negative or the print or the image in some way to get a look that is not totally naturalistic, but puts the audience in a world of its own. I remember we did a double pass on a print. So we had two negatives and lined them up. One was color and one was black and white. And then we timed it between those two negatives. But then you think, you know, in a film process that the registration and then the fact you've got to run it twice... It's just too complicated.
