The back squat doesn't crop up that often, particularly for a max in strong man. I've never done a max back squat in a strong man compsion. It actually happened last year at the rogue invitational,. sorry, the Arnold classic. But most of the time when there's a squat in aStrong Man competition, it's for reps.
