The Triumph of Pirus in the Battle of Sicily
Pierce won again, but the battle had been costly and many of his best officers had fallen. Worn down by fighting the romans, pyrus offered terms of peace, but was rebuffed by the roman senate. They were persuaded to deny any treaty with a foreign army while it remained on italian soil.
