People who are overweight have high vasopressin levels in their blood, which is this hormone that goes on with dehydration. It's a marker we should be measuring in everybody, but it's just not available commercially yet. If anyone tells you that a soft drink is hydrating, they're crazy. And don't drink a soft drink when you're coming off the field after exercise and think it's going to hydrate. That will make you more dehydrated. But yeah, drinking water is an underrated thing.
