The Role of Muscle Fibers in Propulsion

There's constant force transmission between fibers and connective tissue that functions in communication with the Achilles tendon, almost like a spring-type mechanism. If we're doing something like jogging all the way up to sprinting, there's really large and rapid tensile loads of tension in the muscle fibers. That has implications for our rehab and prevention practices as well. And I guess from a slightly less technical point of view, sometimes they're considered to be almost intramuscular tendons, so tendons within the muscle.
