The Skateboard and Its Characters
Mike Carroll and Henry Sanchez had sort of like first rights on the blocks. And if you showed up from out of town and you have barged in on that, then it got ugly. I never understood why grown-ish people would throw tantrums. There were these really enormous sessions that would happen on Sundays, like hundreds of kids. They were all, all the characters, all the people who hung out there who didn't skateboard. The ones that are always like stealing tourists, handbags and starting fights and selling skateboard gear.
