Rationalization preys upon our emotions, and our emotions usually supersede our ability to think logically. When we catch ourselves rationalizing something, say the rational ation out loud. If i'm rationalizing that i can watch this utuvidio now and finish up my writing later, i can work on ways to make sure that rationalization isn't as effective. It's important to remind ourselves that if we change nothing, then this time isn't going to be different. We've also got to accept that we're always going to have days where we find ourselves not doing things we weren't planning on doing.
