Steel Manning: A Non-Inflammatory Example

A straw man is a misrepresentation of someone's position or argument that's easy to defeat. A steel man, on the other hand, is an improvement on somebody's position or arguments that's harder to defeat than their originally stated one. In this game, we try and refute our opponent's strongest arguments rather than their weakest ones. Can we steel man the question that we got? From that person? Yeah. I think it's too close. We've already been playing this game. It's game time.
