Niacin receptor due to the depletion of butyrate isn't aroused correspondingly to how much niacin would be needed to get in. And so it's that excess nicotinic acid that bounces back up goes through the GI and it's a acidic molecule that kind of just lowers the pH of the blood. The issue is, is that as our B-rate depletes that the niacin GPR 109A expression gets more down regulated, and then we lose out on the benefit of niacin,. It's therapeutic properties through the action of it needing to go through the colon.
