Are There Other Techniques to Control Your Emotions That Might Work Personally?

Rf: Is it really difficult to control your emotions as an individual? I don't know what i want to say about the relative possibilities. What i am actually rooding for in my book is something like a social trend where people start to think, number one, emotions are pretty malleable and culturally diverse. And you can find that out by just reading the anthropology, the cultural psychology and the cross cultural philosophy of the emotions. They're constructed in widely different ways in different places. As good or bad, they have widely different statuses in different places, as good or bad,. For example, shame has extraordinarily good status across most cultures, but not in the anglophone world
