Productivity Is Not Good and Evil

The culture of consumerism plays into this broader system thing that we've talked about a little bit already, but the whole idea of consumer capitalism has really propped up on going faster and becoming more efficient. Max Weber wrote, you know, a hundred years ago and he said, nowadays, one does not work to live, one lives to work. So to imagine not going at a faster pace with medium more needs and having more things, it all kind of coalesces into one way of being, which is just too fast and too exhausting.
