The coaching paradox comes in when we believe they want it and start to want it more than them. It's a 24 year old dude on top of the world potentially. And then say they want it. They don't know where they are. So this is the story is old as sport. It's just a matter of managing the expectations of the athlete. That's where the coach goes.
