The number one psychological skill for an athlete to possess is self-confidence. How do you help them through that and actually feel like they are deserving? They are an athlete. And so all of us in life don't, well, very few of us and I have one identity. But each of these identities often has some gremlins or faulty logic and how they see themselves. It's been a really interesting journey for me. When I got back into the sport the second time and had moved to California, I find it really difficult to call myself a professional athlete because deep down I didn't feel I deserved it.
