The point is about agency. It's about being at choice. So as long as you're the one who is controlling that choice, I think that you're okay here. And I would kind of say the same thing about people who are overly reflective because this is a coping mechanism. They haven't fully incarnated bodily, fleshily inside their own real life. The old line about putting one toe in the pool or the parable of the person deciding whether to get onto a boat from a dock.
