Lobe: One of the most powerful methods is to be able to distinguish difficulty from unease. Lobe: If I focus my attention on what's making me uneasy, then the unease goes up and up. He says we have physiologic changes that can make it harder to walk in a difficult situation. Lobe asks patients if they want to ignore a task because it's aversive or not. "We're going to do is what's helpful," he says. 'Is it helpful is it get, is this reducing my difficulty?'
