Apple and Jobs - A Memo to Bill Gates

The commercial struck such a chord within the company, within the industry, that it became this thing for apple. Bill gates knew somethin that apple had trouble understanding: in a wired world, nobody, not even an emperor, can really go it alone. Apple must open the mackintosh architecture to have the independent support required to gain momentum and establish a standard. You guys, you've got to be willing to partner with others. You have to work with developers.
