How to Forecast Revenues in a Small Company?
Ajayi: In a young company, the revenue forecast is a deep mystery. We really don't know what it is until we go to market and experiment and see what happens. The most important thing I advise startup CEOs,. first I say go to a six month plan, not a twelve month plan because nobody has a clue what's going to happen in 6 months or less 12 months. It's much easier to fight with the board on January 1st about the number than it is to fight with them on December 30th embarrassed about why you were unsuccessful.
