Display Rules vs Extensive Suspension

Yoan: There's a couple of different ways that the researchers view this, right? Originally it was explained to me that the difference between display rules and expressive suppression was that i'm consciously choosing to diminish some expressions and emphasize others. But then the majority of studies i came across study and th they talk about expressive suppression is both conscious and not conscious, as a choice. So i think that distinction is maybe not actually as accurate as i was originally led to believe. Yoan: Ye especially the concept of display rules.
