The Benefits of Strength Training

strength training is one of the best things you can do to support your running. You're recruiting a lot of muscle fibers and improving the coordination of those fibers as they try to lift up a very heavy weight. I'd rather go out, run the 90 minutes than actually get in some strength training. But if I want to be able to do the thing that I love, which is running, I've got to make time for the ancillary activities that really support my running.
