"I don't think that we see all five of these symptoms present until we start seeing George with gray hair," he says. "The biggest example of maybe he is just depressed or chronically depressed is the part of the movie where he goes to her house and he's kind of drunk and just smashes the record because he just seems like he couldn't give a fuck." The actor adds: "We only see him in periods of his life where something really shitty has happened, which I think is just the way the story is told".
