mindfulness training can increase mya scores, for instance, in being able to retain the ability to self reflect. So you can quiet everything down and still have this ability for reflective attention, which can then be grounds for insight, perhaps. My second principle is, now that you're calming down, you can really see how upset you are. Rightly, let your mind become calm, watch the ripples subside. Like the surface of a clear pond. And again, our poor particapant is confused. You want me to calm down and enter this relaxed state so that i can discover bad stuff? But at the same time, we can develop a skilfulness.
