A lot of people had invested their lives and their reputations in developing those methodologies. So that's uncomfortable. And why did the statistics establishment dislike what you and Lindley were doing so much? Well, it challenged the methodologies that were already existing. The thing I think which made people rethink how we do things was the increased complexity of data.
