There's always this belief to some extent when we talk about things that people always say, if you're a vegetarian, for instance, you are going to be short of protein. And the short answer is that just like omnivorous eating athletes or omnivores, vegetarians can be a good vegetarian. If you drink a diet coke and eat a slice of bread or a slice of toast with butter on it, you're still a vegan vegetarian. So chances are is that these vegan vegetarian athletes have fought and are conscientious about what they eat. But then the same is true of omnivorous athletes as well.
