Is There a Copula in Japanese?
In Lakota, it's a combination of this and such. One example in here of mistek apparently has an existential becoming a copula specifically for adjectives. Some languages have classificatory copulas that are only used with certain kinds of nouns. It might actually just be verbs that are only use with those terms.
