Is There Such a Thing as Can 1.0?
By the 1870s and 80s there's the invention of what's called the sanitary can. The cans were made by individual kind of metal workers in the cannery. So that method is a huge innovation, both in terms of helping reduce spoilage and helping to standardize as you have machines that stamp out standardized sizes of lids.
