The Problem With Hyperventilating
Breathe deep and try to supercharge his cells with oxygen. Hyperventilating is breathing faster or more than you need to. It blows off extra carbon dioxide and changes the balance between oxygen and CO2 in your body. He felt good about the change of technique, but there was no guarantee it would make enough of a difference. Even when they don't hyperventilate, people still pass out on the 50 meter swim.
