Training for a Flat Race, Can I Eliminate Vert Altogether?
If you're someone training for a flat race, does that mean you can eliminate vert altogether? I tend to think no, in the sense that i don't necessarily advocate that you do all flat running all the time. When you're running on flat, you are using a very specific gait cycle and a very specific mechanic that is super one dimensional. And then you're giving back waigh more time in the back end of that race than you gained by going a little harder in those areas.
