How to Deal With a Breakup
A 2018 study looked at three different coping strategies or recovery strategies, plus of course, a control group. People were told to make a list of negative qualities of their ex partner and then read statements of acceptance. The distraction strategy made people feel better overall, but didn't have any effect on how much they still loved their ex partner. Jase: In my experience, just having any strategy at all was helpful in the beginning.
