The Japanese Copula, Is It a Verb?

Some languages have an inflectional copula construction. The predicate itself or to use the terminology, the copula complement itself gets some verb morphology either directly or West Greenlandic. Those are the basic constructions that the basic types of copula constructions you can choose from. If you say I am a man, you just stick the normal verb inflectional morphology straight onto the noun.
