The question about what patterns am I falling into when I encounter whatever that situation might be is a great one. One of the things that is often overlooked about mindfulness is that we don't have to practice meditation to get all the benefits of mindfulness. So for example, if you had a great week and then you wake up one day and you are not great, a question that you could ask is, what's different today than it was before? Or if you're falling into a similar pattern and a new job, what similarities can I find between this situation and other situations in my life? So yeah, it's a really powerful frame.
