The Importance of Experience in the Restaurant Industry
I love my time in the restaurant industry like I do overall have positive things to say about working in it. The most striking thing when I was working in food service and for country clubs and things like that was the sexual harassment honestly which was just so normalized and banal and expected as part of the job. Anthony Bourdain's work was almost like an on-ramp into something that was much darker than what he was, she says. There is a lot more positive energy around food right now because there has been this reckoning across all sides we are dealing with from all sides.
