The book is trying to tell you that when you come to the problem with each different artist and your experience of the biographical information that your subjectivity is what should be paid attention to. And I think that the only answer I give that's at all prescriptive is it's okay to not try to solve the problem through consumption. You don't have to solve rape culture and patriarchy through what song you listen to. That's not your job and that's not the avenue to do it in.
