X-Ray for Suspected Septic Arthritis of the Hip
The first test that would typically be done is an X-ray and I like to start on the outside and move in. You want to make sure in a normal hip that those fat planes are preserved. And then finally at the bones when you're looking at the joint, we're looking for erosions. So that's my X-ray approach to septic arthritis of the hip.
