The Importance of Security Council Reform in the United Nations
Security Council reform always sucks up an enormous amount of diplomatic attention here in New York. But for some UN members, Security Council is less important than the possibility of reforming the governance structures of the international financial institutions. A big push led by leaders such as me and Ochle of Barbados to try and rebalance decision-making in the IMF and World Bank. There's also discussions going on over something called the Peace Building Commission.
