The Power of the Writers' Guild
Hollywood, while it does have an analog to indie publishing, is not as big. Striking is- and it's almost impossible because our books can still get, you know, purchased by the end user. There are not ongoing shows that no writers being part of is going to cripple immediately. And so if we had a WGA, it wouldn't necessarily have any power because there wouldn't be as compelling an interest in being a part of it.
