Can you use kind of clicker training and reward to get a behavior to stop? Yeah, absolutely. It's just different. But many people don't like... Like I have a dog who sometimes likes to jump up to greet people. People don't typically like this. And so the sort of most classic clicker training answer is, will you train an alternate behavior or to go to lie down on a mat and wait to be greeted?"
