The Wave of Grief
In the beginning of your beautiful book describing what the process of grief is really like, you talk about it sometimes showing up like a wave. Do the waves still come? They do. I want people to know that the fog does lift. It comes back. But like the early time when it will not lift even for a second, that changes. And it has been two years since Dave died. He sits here today still with more sadness, but with a lot more gratitude and more cognizant of joy. "I am a week in Wokenau" airs on PBS stations Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
