Dogma and Nuance in Design

There's a lot of dogmatic thinking in design sometimes. I think people latch onto one idea and are maybe a little afraid to let go of it. Having dogma, having a very narrow perspective on how to do things will get you so far that will get you to a certain point. But it becomes problematic when we overdo it.
